Privacy
What we hold, and what we will not do with it.
How DigitalSoulVault handles what you tell it.
What we collect
- What you tell us. The content of your conversations and anything you add to your biography, including any files or images you upload.
- Account information. Your name and email address, and billing information handled by our payment processor.
- Basic technical logs. Records needed to operate and secure the service, such as sign-in events and error logs.
How we use it
To provide the service to you: to build and maintain your biography, to bill you, to answer your support requests, and to keep the service secure.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your biography with anyone.
- We do not send you marketing email you did not ask for.
- We do not use your biography content to advertise to you or to anyone else.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure and service providers to run the product — for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing. They may process data only as needed to provide their service to us, and may not use it for their own purposes.
Your choices
- Access and correction. You can read and edit everything in your biography from within the product.
- Deletion. You can delete individual entries, or close your account and have your data deleted. Write to the address at the foot of this page if you want it done for you.
- Export. You can get a copy of your raw chat transcripts whenever you want one. Export is handled on request: you ask at the address at the foot of this page, and a person here prepares the transcripts and sends them to you. The structured biography itself cannot be exported.
Retention
We keep your biography for as long as your account is open. It is not aged out, trimmed, or discarded while you are using the service — keeping it is the point of the product. If you close your account, or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.
Security and internal access
Access to your biography requires you to be signed in to your account.
Our staff do not read your biography. The one exception is when you have filed a bug report or a support request asking us to look into a problem: to answer it, someone here may need to look at the part of your account the problem concerns.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Where the service is available
The service is not available to users in the European Union or the United Kingdom. It is available to residents of California.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and notify account holders of material changes. Questions about privacy go to the address at the foot of this page.
